Welcome to Cleo v1.10, the "Convenient Little Environment Organizer" for Microsoft Windows!

Cleo provides superb configurability in order to provide you, the user, with the environment
you've always wanted.  It does not replace Program Manager or File Manager, nor was it 
created to replace The Norton Desktop or PC Tools for Windows -- in fact, it works well with
all 4 of these programs.

The basic premise of Cleo is a menu on top of the screen, allowing you to quickly launch your
Program Manager items, or items which you configure on its User Menu.  Also, you can configure
Cleo from this menu, as well as manage the virtual screens Cleo provides.  On the bottom of
the display is a status bar, providing you with vital Windows information such as the availability
of memory, resources, and disk space, as well as the date, time, and current virtual screen.
Plus, there are convenient buttons for running programs, opening a DOS window, and exiting/restarting
Windows.


FILES and INSTALLTION
---------------------
You should have received version 1.10 of Cleo in the archive CLEO11.ZIP.  This file will
unzip to reveal the following files:

	CLEOTASK.EXE	- Cleo Task Manager simulator

	INSTALLATION FILES

	SETUP.EXE		- installation program
	METER.DLL		- progress meter library, required by SETUP.EXE
	SETUP.INF		- installation info, required by SETUP.EXE

To install Cleo by hand, just copy the above CLEO FILES into the directory of your
choice.  Otherwise, run SETUP.EXE to install Cleo with the installation program.


CLEOTASK.EXE
------------
This file is intended to be added to your SYSTEM.INI file as follows

	taskman.exe=d:\tools\cleo\cleotask.exe

If Cleo is running, typing CTRL-ESC (or any Task List activating action) will
activate Cleo's Window List under the VScreen menu.  Otherwise, the normal
Windows Task List is launched.


SHAREWARE
---------
Cleo is a shareware program - it is not free.  If you like it, by all means register
it for $15 (US Funds) to enjoy updates, bug fixes, and a clear conscience.  If not,
don't use it and pass it on to a friend.
